The owner of JP Scooters:

“My name is Sogo Sakakibara, aka sogggggy. I was born on April 26th, 1997, in Nagoya, Japan. I moved to Cairns Australia when I was 12 years old, and I started scootering when I was 13 years old. From the very first day of me riding scooters, I enjoyed every moment of it. In 2016 I moved back to Japan for university, and in 2018 I started an online scooter shop called ‘scooter depo’ to help grow the scootering scene in Japan, and to help people who have trouble ordering scooter parts in english. In 2019 I created my brand ‘jp scooters’.”

The meaning behind JP Scooters:

As you may already know, JP stands for “Japan”, and JP Scooters has a meaning of growing "scootering" in Japan. Currently there are only 30+ scooter riders in all of Japan, but in 2015 Sogo was the only scooter rider in Japan. The population of japanese scooter riders is increasing each year, and our goal is to expand the scootering scene in Japan.
